A mini 3 Dimensional Art Installation made from papier mâché shows three brains and neurons. While the brains are a literal depiction of the exhibit's title, Boxing In, Breaking Out, and Becoming Beautiful, they indicate a deeper meaning. These brains are caricatures representing what each phase of healing feels like.
Artist Description:
Bold paint colours represent bringing colour into darkness as white light is caused by the spectrum of colour. The colours and humorous twist are also utilized in this piece to invoke feelings within the viewer.
Artist Biography:
Adrienne sustained brain injuries and PTSD in the workplace and has been on a long and difficult healing journey. She now enjoys art, writing and public speaking with a particular emphasis on advocacy and support for those dealing with a multiplicity of issues. These creative outlets bring her connection and joy. Being able to give back and help others continues to fuel her own healing.
