Artist Description:
This playful triptych is a representation of communication and expression after brain injury.

It's a... (Acrylic on canvas, 2025), $450
The first piece symbolizes a thought that is starting to, and trying to generate. The thought ("light") is there, but it is not yet glowing brightly. The silver thought is not yet ready to be expressed. As you look into the dark reflective centre, you can see yourself inside the light bulb, within the forming thought.
Spaghetti Brain Thought-things (Acrylic on canvas, 2024), $650
The second piece demonstrates navigating through the brain fog and tangled train of thoughts. There are multiple layers of “spaghetti thoughts.”
The first basic layer, these spaghetti thoughts are more primordial, rugged, less smooth, and somewhat fragmented. The second fluorescent layer, these spaghetti thoughts are smoother and appear more developed. However, both layers impede and interfere with the extraction of the main train of thought.
The main thought, in silver, is tangled amongst the spaghetti brain thought-things, as it develops into gold. Bonus! The fluorescent layer glows under black light!
thought! (Acrylic on canvas, 2025); $450
The third piece symbolizes the thought that has formed, shining brightly and colourfully, ready to be expressed in gold. This piece also has a fluorescent layer which glows under black light, carrying the theme from the second piece, and also demonstrates how strong the thought glows.
