Look around and notice all the options available

Life promotes us opportunity. It is not just understood as an ideal freedom; it is how one must acknowledge their own being, in order to make our actions, our right.

Do we really need this separation though? It’s warm, I feel protected, without disturbance under another’s will. Why change, now that it seems I cannot fit the mould of society? I’m not asking for help, I follow what doctor’s say, what laws are telling me… Leave me alone.

The beauty, I just love about our constitution, is it fundamentally allows this opinion to exist, as much as it freely welcomes an agreement in believing in what it “follows”. Written as far back as 1867 and in adoption of our only neighbouring country attached in the South, the United States of America (1776); who promotes democracy as well. Democracy, this is a free society governed by the people, with moral principles that govern its boundaries.

In our Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which gives government to the people, specifies that civil rights and liberties belong to all Canadian citizens. This ethical entry helps to keep reality progressing smoothly, so to speak. Needless to say, without any populace inside the land of a country, it could not exist. So, inside our Constitution, it proudly states: “Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms: … freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication.” Those words you shall find in section 2b) Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The Charter is our core, our source of principles and beliefs, it is what we build our values and instances of acknowledgement on, in order to deliver a livelihood to each and every citizen. What having a brain injury now, has offered me the opportunity to investigate; is the true feeling of morality that I welcome along with, my Canadian citizenship. Further I want to detail Equality Rights, a part of the Constitutional freedom denoting “every individual is equal before and under the law,” we are known around the world to offer protection to refugees.

To continue West, I read an interesting perspective online from Conor Neill, a keynote speaker, writer and entrepreneur who teaches at a Business School in Spain (European Union). Recently, he posted a link to download his short ‘manifesto’ titled: Keep Wonder Alive. In which he commits to not know all the details of life, but to appreciate the art of investigation.

As the world keeps expanding globally, and shrinking digitally; Neill also points out: “The experience of being alive is to be held in awe and wonder at the majesty of it all…” and continues, emphasizing the Google-enhanced environment, “The more we know, the better questions we can ask of what we do not yet know.”

There is a lot we do not know about life, and maybe will never know until it’s over; but now, with my experiences I believe even more, life allows us to engage our mind and insist that there exists, a question of belief.
